THE PARTNERSHIP

How the partnership came about

RG Live produces orchestral concerts of film, game and anime music in the UK. Its team reached out to Japan Nakama on Instagram in June 2026 about The Sound of Epic Anime, and we agreed a campaign covering both the London and Birmingham dates. RG Live supplied the asset pack, approved copy, a reader discount code, tickets for a giveaway and access to conductor Michael England.

OUR APPROACH

How we ran the campaign

Editorial

We published a guide to the London concert on 29 July 2026 and a Birmingham guide on 6 October. Between them, 12 Songs We Cannot Wait to Hear at The Sound of Epic Anime, published on 22 August, walked readers through the pieces on the programme and why each one works live.

Interview

Conductor Michael England answered our questions about the music, the album recorded in Hannover and leading the orchestra. The interview went live on 23 August 2026 after RG Live and Michael approved the copy.

Sitewide Ads and reader offer

HTML5 banners signed off by RG Live ran across japannakama.co.uk from mid August 2026, alongside a reader offer panel. The panel promoted the code NARUTO, which gave readers a discount at both venues.

Giveaway

We ran the giveaway as an Instagram collaboration post from 31 August to 11 September 2026. The winners were announced on 14 September. Each one received four tickets to the concert and a vinyl.

Newsletter

A newsletter on 26 August 2026 carried the reader offer. Three more sends on 6, 8 and 11 September promoted the giveaway before it closed.

THE IMPACT

What it added up to

What the campaign gave RG Live across two cities, in plain terms.

IN FRONT OF THE RIGHT FANS

Anime fans who love the music

Both concerts reached readers who already follow anime and its soundtracks.

A SEARCHABLE HOME

Four articles with first hand detail

The London and Birmingham guides, the programme feature and the conductor interview give the tour a lasting home on Japan Nakama.

SOCIAL REACH

A shared giveaway post

The collaboration post put the concerts in front of followers of both accounts.

ENGAGEMENT AND INTENT

A code readers could use

The NARUTO code and offer panel gave readers a simple way to act on what they read.
