THE PARTNERSHIP
How the partnership came about
Nomad eSIM is the travel data app built by LotusFlare. Its SEO team contacted Japan Nakama in August 2026 because Nomad's section of our eSIM guide was out of date. We agreed a one-off sponsored update: Nomad moved to the top of the guide, and we refreshed every other provider so readers could compare them fairly.
OUR APPROACH
How we ran the campaign
Top spot
Nomad now leads the guide, with a section built from its own Japan plans. It covers the networks it uses (KDDI au or SoftBank), fixed plans from 1GB to 50GB, unlimited plans and hotspot sharing.
Number one of ten
Comparison table
All ten providers sit side by side on Japan networks, plan types, hotspot support, starting price and who each one suits. We researched every row from the providers' own pages.

Easier navigation
A clickable contents list jumps straight to each provider, so a reader can reach Nomad in one tap or compare it with the rest.
Contents list for every provider
Disclosure and tracking
A line above the contents tells readers that some placements are commercially supported. Nomad's links carry its own tracking code, so it can measure the traffic we send.
