NODA MAP
How we put Hideki Noda’s UK premiere of −320°F in front of London’s Japanese culture community — from first email to full campaign in under three weeks.
THE SHOW WE PROMOTED
A Faustian spectacle, straight from Tokyo to Sadler’s Wells.
−320°F (Minus Three Twenty Fahrenheit)
THE PARTNERSHIP
Three weeks to opening night
NODA MAP, the Tokyo theatre company founded by Hideki Noda, came to Japan Nakama through a personal introduction with the UK premiere of −320°F less than three weeks away.
Working directly with the company in Tokyo and its London PR team at Mobius Industries, we were supplied trailer footage, stage photography, the approved show identity and even the production’s own music — and turned them into a coordinated editorial, social, newsletter and display campaign aimed at the London audience most likely to fill those seats: our community of Japanese culture lovers.
OUR APPROACH
One story, told five ways
Editorial & Interview
Three published pieces carried the show from announcement to curtain call: an event feature ahead of the run, an exclusive interview with Hideki Noda conducted days before opening night, and a post-show review from our writer in the audience. Coverage that stays live and searchable long after the run.

Instagram Carousel& Promo Reel
We designed a promotional carousel and reel in-house from the approved stage photography and trailer footage, then ran every frame through sign-off with Tokyo — correct title treatment, the company’s cast-crediting rules, and the show’s own music on the reel.
Approved by NODA MAP before a single post went live.

On-Site Display Ads
Four animated HTML5 banner formats — leaderboard, banner, half-page and newsletter header — built from the approved stage photography and show identity, ran across japannakama.co.uk for the duration of the campaign, putting “Book Tickets” in front of every reader on the site.

Newsletter
A deployment to our subscriber list timed to the run, led by a custom −320°F header designed to match the show identity, with the trailer, story and booking link one tap away.
Straight into the inboxes of readers who already ask us what to see in London.
Timed to the run
Ticket Giveaway & Giveaway Reel
A dedicated giveaway reel offered our followers a pair of tickets to the Saturday 11 July matinee. Entry meant following @japannakama and @nodamapinlondon, tagging a friend, and sharing the post — turning one ticket pair into reach, new followers for the show’s London account, and conversations about the production in the week before it closed.
Ran 29 June - 8 July
